Supersitter
A local marketplace built around trust rather than price.

Challenge
The problem.
Parents and families who need a babysitter, nanny or elderly caregiver usually need one fast, and the person will be in their home with their children or relatives. They don't know who to trust, word of mouth doesn't scale, and there is little time to search. Caregivers have the opposite problem: no steady flow of clients, no way to stand out, and no direct contact without an agency in between.
Solution
What we built.
A local marketplace built around trust rather than price. A family picks a category, searches by city, filters by experience, availability and languages, and opens a detailed profile. Contact is direct, with no agency in the middle. The platform runs as a network of country-specific sites on one shared core.
- Trust as the main value proposition: detailed profiles, reviews and ratings, background checks, privacy focus
- Search by city or ZIP with filters for price, experience, availability, responsibilities, education and languages
- Free access is limited; paid membership unlocks phone numbers, unlimited messaging and full listings
- Three subscription plans (30, 180 and 360 days), with the 180-day plan marked as most popular
- No commission on transactions: revenue comes from access to contacts, not from taking a cut of the deal
- Shared core with local domains, languages and country settings

Outcome
What changed.
- Predictable subscription revenue instead of one-off transaction fees
- No commission means less friction for both sides and easier adoption
- A new country or language can be launched on the existing core without a rebuild
- Caregivers get direct contact with clients, so the supply side stays motivated to keep profiles active
